Exciting New Flavors Coming To Toms River, NJ With A Brand New Restaurant

When one door closes, another one opens. In this case, the door is a restaurant that closed a few weeks ago and is being replaced with something new and exciting!

A few weeks ago I told you about a local New Jersey business that seems to have met the unfortunate fate of closing its doors.

The sandwich shop Couple House Subs seemed to close up shop out of nowhere and since its closure back in November the building has sat pretty much vacant.

New Chipotle Restaurant, Drive-Thru Approved in Toms River

The Toms River Township planning board approved the construction of a new Chipotle restaurant – the second in Toms River – at its meeting Wednesday night.

Chipotle began presenting a plan for a new restaurant at 465 Route 37 East, an undeveloped triangular lot situated between Route 37 and Washington Street, near the Whittier Avenue intersection. The restaurant will be 2,325 square feet and contain approximately 65 seats and a mobile pick up drive-thru lane.

A Super Popular Restaurant is Taking Over the Old Ruby Tuesday in Toms River, NJ

Ruby Tuesday never really caught on at the Jersey Shore. The restaurant chain’s Toms River location on Route 37 West has been sitting vacant since the fall/winter of 2020.

When Ruby Tuesday first opened, many were drawn to their “Simple Fresh American Dining.” The fact that it is in the same plaza as Marquee Cinema was the perfect placement for the casual dining destination.

Restaurant With Spectacular Menu Ready For Grand Opening In Ocean County, NJ

Bittersweet! Many Toms River locals wish they could still bite down on a delicious Joe-Joe’s Italian Hot Dog. Owner Joseph Rizzolo did all he could to stay open, but Joe-Joe’s had to close its doors in 2020 during the pandemic. Joe-Joe’s was an Ocean County landmark, but when one door closes another opens.

Good news – a popular Lavalette sushi restaurant will be opening a second location in Downtown Toms River this Summer!  According to a Facebook post from Sáfu Sushi, they’ll be opening at 10 Washington Street!

NJ Poké to open second location in Toms River in 2022

The new year will bring a new restaurant to The Shoppes at Hooper, a growing plaza in the Silverton section of Toms River.

NJ Poké, which opened in Point Pleasant Beach in 2019 and Point Pleasant Borough in 2020, will open in early 2022, co-owner Tom Kerr said. He and his business partner, Ryan Gripp, hope to open the restaurant in February.
