Lacey Mayor Named Chair Of Ocean County Library Commission

TOMS RIVER, NJ — At the Ocean County Library Commission’s reorganization meeting on Jan. 17, Lacey Mayor Timothy McDonald was named Chair of the Commission, according to a library news release.

At the meeting, Paul Wolleon was chosen to serve as Vice Chair, and Susan Hutler as liaison to the Ocean County Library Foundation.

Hutler was also reappointed to a new five year term as Ocean County Library Commissioner, becoming the Ocean County Library’s longest serving Library Commissioner, with 39 years of dedicated service, according to the library.

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) — The Ocean County Library hosts Jamie Fiore Higgins, who will discuss and sign copies of her book, Bully Market: My Story of Money and Misogyny at Goldman Sachs, on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Financial Times named Jamie one of its Top 25 Most Influential Women of 2022. In Bully Market, Jamie combines her sobering account of harassment and discrimination in corporate America with practical steps for improving workplace cultures and promoting an environment of inclusion and growth. The event begins at 2:00pm.

The product of a working-class family, Jamie Fiore Higgins compiled an 18-year career in the New York headquarters of one of America’s largest finance companies, becoming a Managing Director and the highest-ranking woman in her department.

Ocean County Library Toms River Branch presents Lucille Rielly’s “People and Places” throughout August

TOMS RIVER, NJ The Ocean County Library Toms River Branch presents “People and Places,” an exhibit by award-winning photographer Lucille Rielly, throughout the month of August. The display, which will occupy the 2nd Floor Gallery, consists of color and monochrome candid photos, and will demonstrate her implementation of Photoshop software.
