TOMS RIVER, NJ – Generations of Toms River and shore area residents used to start their morning with a Perkin’s breakfast and coffee, but the chain has since closed locations in Toms River and Freehold.

It was a great loss to the morning breakfast scene with the company’s affordable and senior-friendly, yet great-tasting breakfast selections.

The coffee wasn’t so bad either. Many people loved it, which is why the company is entering the retail coffee market.

Yay Wawa Introduces Another Delicious New Coffee Flavor in New Jersey

It seems like lately, I have been doing a lot of stories about “coffee” and hey that’s not a bad thing because I love a good cup of coffee. Wawa is a busy place for coffee and because every town on the Jersey Shore has a local Wawa, many folks enjoy their different kinds of coffee blends.

According to Disturb Me Not, here are some statistics when it comes to coffee consumption here in America:

Delicious New Spire Coffeehouse is Opening in Toms River, New Jersey

This is a labor of love. When it comes to talking about coffee I am always excited to share a good cup of coffee with you. We have a lot of fantastic coffee options here in New Jersey and we have a new addition to talk about right here in Ocean County.

As for me, I am a coffee “minimalist” I like a simple cup of coffee, black. Yes nothing more, nothing less just a plain black cup of coffee. There is no hiding from bad coffee with me. It’s just pure coffee so if it is bad coffee I will know on the first sip. No cream, no sugar, no extras!

Best Coffee Shops and Cafes in Ocean County, New Jersey

Obviously, if you have listened to our morning show for any time now, you know that I love my coffee and have for years now while waking up folks in Ocean County. I like my coffee really simple, black. No cream, no sugar, no nothing. Just good plain coffee. So anytime I can talk about coffee and then throw in some good food, it’s a “win-win” for sure.

This article puts together the best coffee shops and cafes together and was featured in an article from Best of NJ.com. Combining good food, atmosphere, and coffee together. Good news for us, two of the Cafes in the Best of NJ.com survey are located right here in Ocean County.

According to the article, one is located on Long Beach Island, and one is located in Toms River. On Long Beach Island there is How You Brewin’. This shop actually has two locations on LBI. One is in Surf City and one in Barnegat Light. According to Best of NJ “Open year-round, they serve a perfect blend of popular favorites and original concoctions; the Best of NJ crew’s personal coffee picks here are Almond Biscotti, Banana Nut Bread, and Coffee Cake.
