Toms River Council Hires Firm To Street Light Issues

TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you’ve ever driven been frustrated by a street light that is dark more often than it’s lit up, a fix is in the works.

The Toms River Township Council has hired a company to do an audit of the town’s street lights and develop a plan to map and upgrade the lights to make it easier to get them repaired when they go out, and save money in the process.

A few months ago, I filled you in that Nothing Bundt Cakes would be opening its first Ocean County shop in the spring.  The time has come!

The shop’s owner, Ava Hesse, shared that it’ll be opening on April 1st in the What’s Going there in Monmouth and Ocean Counties Facebook group!  Woohoo!  Nothing Bundt Cakes will be located in Hooper Commons at 1358 Hooper Avenue in Toms River.

Want the latest on Toms River regional school budget? Tonight’s meeting has the details

TOMS RIVER – Taxpayers can get more information on Toms River Regional’s $260.9-million budget for the 2022-2023 school year at tonight’s Citizens Budget Advisory meeting at the High School North Media Center. The meeting starts at 6. p.m.

The budget, which the Board of Education introduced earlier this month, includes slight tax increases in Toms River, South Toms River, Beachwood and Pine Beach, the four municipalities that make up the regional district.
