Could NJ be one of the hottest destinations for renters?

in Toms River News

Some folks actually view New Jersey as affordable.

The Garden State ranks extremely high in a new report from Rent. that goes state by state to figure out which rental markets are gaining residents and which are losing them.

In the Migration Nation report, New Jersey posts a positive “lead delta” of 36.33% — that represents the difference between inquiries about in-to-NJ rental moves and inquiries about out-of-NJ rental moves.

The NJ fried chicken places you need to know about

in Toms River News

Another chicken franchise is coming to New Jersey with Raising Cane’s planning to open in Deptford. This will be their fourth location planned as they will also be going into Cherry Hill, Burlington, and Marlton. I’ve had their chicken while on vacation in Ohio, and they are pretty good.

Lately, when people think of fried chicken, it’s usually from a franchise establishment like KFC, Popeye’s, or Chick-Fil-A, which is opening another location; but there are several great chicken places throughout the Garden State that may not come to mind but should.

NJ’s Danny Clinch: Love of music shines through in his awe-inspiring photos

in Toms River News

Danny Clinch has a passion for music; he is also a world-class photographer, filmmaker and director. He’s photographed hundreds of album covers from Tupac Shakur to Bruce Springsteen to Fleetwood Mac, to Bjork to Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and so many more. His photographs have appeared in Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, GQ, Esquire and so many more.

You’ve seen Danny on TV on “60 Minutes” as he was shown with Bruce Springsteen photographing him while at home and on tour.

Danny has an amazing bond with those he photographs and he’s also welcoming to those he meets including me. He’s fascinating but humble and quick to accommodate those he is engaged with. His music passion is strong. I’ve seen Danny get up and play his harmonica very well with one of my favorite bands, Tangier’s Blues Band. He seems to have a feeling about the artist, the music and then he captures those images so very well.

March Madness 2023: Ranking the N.J. boys basketball alums in the NCAA Tournament

in Toms River News

March Madness is back and while New Jersey’s two flagship programs are on the outside looking in, there are still plenty of New Jersey-centric storylines to watch in the Tournament.

While it may be impossible to match last year when Cinderella resided on Kennedy Blvd. in Jersey City as Saint Peter’s made magical run to the Elite 8, that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of other Garden State storylines to follow. Locals Fairleigh Dickinson and Princeton hope that Cinderella decides to take just a short carriage ride as they look to defy the odds like the Peacocks did last March.
