TOMS RIVER, NJ – Toms River residents love Rita’s Italian Ice and Frozen Custard. The proof lies in two successful stores in the township. Starting this week, residents will have a new treat to explore at their local Rita’s to celebrate National Cold Brew Day.

Rita’s has introduced a new line of Cold Brew Frozen Coffees, available for a limited time at all of their locations, starting April 17.

“The new line of frozen coffees comes in three flavors, Original Cold Brew, Mocha, and Caramel, and is made with Rita’s vanilla ice and custard, creating a unique coffee experience,” the company said.

New Jersey Law To Overturn Ban On Barbershop Chair Rentals Possible In 2023

Thousands of families are expected to hit the Montclair State University campus on Sunday to attend Accepted Student Day.

For the third straight year, the public institution may welcome its biggest incoming class on record.

“I think that students want to be on campus … more than they want a remote experience,” Jordanna Maziarz, director of undergraduate admissions for Montclair State, told New Jersey 101.5.

More fish enter the fray as warm temps settle in at Jersey Shore

The week ahead holds a lot of potential with sea temperatures in the surf already above 50 degrees and a string of warm, sunny days in the forecast.

There were a lot more anglers out this past weekend at different locales and the variety of fish in the water is increasing.

On Long Beach Island, for example, Fisherman’s Headquarters in Ship Bottom had news of a black drum caught by Jamie Gramley off the mid-Island surf on Sunday. He was fishing clam looking for a striped bass, the shop said. And, Dennis Palmatier at the Hook House in Toms River, got word of a decent blackfish bite in the Point Pleasant Canal. He said George Penn reeled in 4 tog up to 3 ¼ pounds soaking green crabs by the state police station.

Patriot League 2023 Announces Softball Players of the Week (4.04.23)

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Boston University collected two of the three Patriot League softball weekly awards when the League announced honors on Tuesday. Army West Point received one award.

Army West Point junior Kayla Edwards was named player of the week, and for the second time this season, BU freshman Kasey Ricard was awarded both pitcher and rookie of the week.

Army West Point freshman Breanna Izzo, Boston University junior Kayla Roncin, Lehigh graduate student Carley Barjaktarovich and freshman Chloe Hess received honorable mentions.
