Developer reduces size of downtown Toms River apartments from 10 to 6 stories

TOMS RIVER — Capodagli Property Co. plans to revise plans for two apartment towers in downtown Toms River, reducing the size of the buildings from 10 to six stories, Mayor Maurice B. “Mo” Hill Jr. said.

“They have been getting a lot of negative feedback,” Hill said of the developer’s reasons for reducing the size of the project. The towers will still contain 285 apartments, the mayor said.

The project would be located at the corner of Water and Main streets, at the former site of the Red Carpet Inn.
