If you have been looking for a place to contribute to the community, a group of nonprofits are holding an open house to connect volunteers with organizations in need of helping hands.
The open house, hosted by the Affordable Housing Alliance and the Toms River Housing and Homeless Coalition, is set for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17.
It will be in the Parish House building, at 405 Washington St., Toms River, at the western side of the parking lot connected with Christ Episcopal Church.
